Polyroof's unique formulation of elastomers, plasticers and selected additives is formulated to ensure high elasticity coupled with long lasting service, specifically developed to repair moving joints, metal edges. As a rubbery, highly flexible roof patching elastomer it affords superior protection over holes, cracks and splits, ponded water areas, ridges and for installing insulation breather vents.
PERFORMANCE (Typical Properties)
-10oC to +50oC
(NOTE: Typical properties should not be used as specifications)
Remove dust, loose gravel and torn felts. Sweep away ponded water. Apply over a clean, sound, dry base.
For Membrane Flashings:
Apply a minimum of 3mm thickness 100mm-200mm onto the deck, 25-50mm above existing flashing.
For Gravel Stops:
Directly over all lapped metal joints or where extreme movement can be expected, apply 13-20mm wide strips
of bond breaker tape. Then apply Polyroof at 13mm thickness over the bond breaker tape and for at least
25mm beyond its perimeter. Apply at 6mm thickness throughout the remaining roof edge.
Valleys and Ponded Areas:
Protective coatings in these areas are usually subjected to rapid deterioration, particularly on build up of bituminous roofs. Polyroof will provide long lasting protection by applying 3-5mm thickness to such areas including the vertical projections subjected to standing water.
Splits and Holes:
Apply a minimum thickness of 6mm over splits or holes and tape the Polyroof down to the roof membrane, lapping at least 50mm on all sides.
Rates will vary depending upon actual surface conditions. Minimum 3mm thickness over smooth surface - 0.2m2 per litre approximately.
Mineral Turpentine or Xylol.
