Crystoseal is a ready-for-use (merely add water) concentrated, high strength, cement-based waterproofing slurry incorporating active chemical constituents which, when applied, become active in cementitious substrates and by a crystallization process provides a waterproof seal within the substrate. Crystoseal waterproofs sound concrete or cement surfaces against water ingress, dampness, ground water and hydrostatic pressure. Crystoseal is suitable for waterproofing both the positive and negative sides of the substrate. It consists of a blend of cements, graded quartz and active chemical constituents and gives a render-like appearance. Crystoseal works by the conversion of free lime in the concrete to insoluble calcium compounds. These seal against capillary ingress of water. Compounds within Crystoseal penetrate in to the substrate where they in turn 'crystallise' on contact with moisture and create a waterproof barrier. Uses: Crystoseal is an economical, easily applied method of providing a waterproof barrier to sound and stable concrete or cement based products such a cement filled block work. It may be used on both new and existing structures. Crystoseal finds particular use on concrete structures where access is only available to negative side of the structure such as the internal side of retaining walls. Maxseal Foundation is a construction grade cement based product which, together with special additives and selected aggregates gives it waterproofing characteristics, whether the foundations are in concrete or masonry. It gives great protection to foundation concrete thanks to its high resistance to aggressive waters. Waterproofing of retaining walls, carparks, basements, elevator pits, tanks and dams. Good adherence, it becomes incorporated to the support where it is applied, it fills and seals pores. It can be applied on wet surfaces not needing these to be dried. Lesser cost than any other traditional system. Large duration and superior to any others asphalt product. Unaffected by soil salts. In a positive application. Mapelastic Smart is a two-component mortar based on cementitious binders, fine-grained selected aggregates, special admixtures and synthetic polymers in water dispersion, blended according to a formula developed in MAPEI's own research laboratories. When the two components are mixed, a blend with a plastic consistency is obtained. It may be applied by brush, by roller or by spraying with a worm screw rendering machine on both horizontal and vertical surfaces at a thickness of approximately 2 mm. Due to the content and high quality of the synthetic resins, the hardened layer of Mapelastic Smart remains constantly flexible under all environmental conditions. Mapelastic Smart is waterproof and resistant to the penetration of aggressive substances which are present in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide and sulphuric anhydride, and soluble salts such as chlorides and sulphates, which are present in seawater or in the ground. Mapelastic Smart has excellent bonding properties on all cementitious, ceramic and marble surfaces as long as they are sound and sufficiently clean. These properties, together with its resistance to the deteriorating effect of UV rays, a characteristic of this product, ensure that structures protected and waterproofed with Mapelastic Smart have a long service life, even if they are located in areas with particularly rigid climatic conditions, in coastal areas with a saline-rich atmosphere or in industrial areas where the air is particularly polluted. Duram 195 is a tar-free, single pack, liquid-applied, moisture-curing, self levelling, waterproofing membrane which cures to form a tough, durable, elastomeric membrane which is black to a very dark grey in colour. MasterSeal HLM 5100TIX is a single component wter based thixotropic polymer membrane with high elongation and fast curing characteristics. MasterSeal HLM 5200SL is a single component water based self levelling polymer with high elongation and fast curing characteristics. Although black in colour it contains no bitumen and is solvent free giving it a low VOC. Recommended uses: Concrete. Plywood (exterior). One component, highly elastic, class 3, polyurethane waterproofing membrane system that contains no bitumen and complies with AS/NZ 4858. This Technical Data Sheet may be revised, as appropriate, to comply with changes to relevant Australian Standards, reflect changes in Industry best practice in waterproofing procedures or include improvements to current technologies. Bostik Dampfix PU polyurethane waterproofing membrane is specifically formulated for applications where the waterproofing membrane is to be covered by tiling systems laid on an unbonded reinforced screed to falls (ref: Guide to the Installation of Ceramic Tiles - AS3958.1). This is a 2-coat system applied over primed porous & non-porous substrates. It is not recommended as a membrane system in immersed areas (such as pools or spas)
