Preparation / Application / Clean Up
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material.
Cut off cartridge seal, cut nozzle to desired bead size and screw nozzle on to
cartridge. Place cartridge into suitable caulking gun. Hold gun at 45 degree angle with
nozzle in contact with both joint surfaces. Gun Sikasil C (AP) ahead of nozzle to
ensure product is pushed into joint. For a cleaner result, mask both sides of the joint
and remove tape before silicone skins. Smooth off before skin forms (within 15
minutes) with a spatula dipped in detergent solution. Remove excess sealant
immediately with a cloth dampened in mineral turpentine. Sealant surface will skin
in 10 - 15 minutes and is fully cured within 72 hours. Fully cured sealant can be
removed by trimming with a sharp blade, but avoid under cutting seal. Sikasil C (AP)
can be cleaned from tools and hands with mineral turpentine before fully cured.

Sikasil C (AP) may be discoloured in contact with some organic elastomers, e.g. EPDM, APTK and neoprene. Sikasil C (AP) is not recommended for applications
involving contact with natural stone, such as marble, granite, quartzite, as it can
cause staining. Sikasil C (AP) is not recommended for sealing of aquaria.
Sikasil C (AP) is not recommended for structural glazing bonding. The curing time
can be extended at lower temperature, low humidity or by low volume of air change.
