After builder has fabricated formwork on blinding slab, lay the membrane, torch laps and double detail all perimeters and corners with Wrimco SBS plain taped to the formwork, finishing 50mm above final floor height. The polyfilm is burnt off from the SBS on the walls and the molten surface sanded. Steel fixer installs reinforcement on FC sheet protection (optional). Slab is provided with waterstops while sump is formed using a 20li square HDPE container before pouring. The walls are subsequently formed up and poured.

Formwork is then stripped and Wrimco SBS fully bonded to the wall and overlapping the first application by 100mm. Wrimco protection board is wrapped around, as it is spot stuck to the Wrimco SBS by momentarily melting the surface of the 3mm thick membrane with the propane gas torch.

After inserting an Ag line and pipe so the gap can be pumped out if ever required, back fill with gravel. Wrimco SBS membrane has the polyfilm burnt off and the molten surface sanded so it will adhere to the concrete and thus facilitate stripping the formwork. Wrimco SBS plain has the adhesive qualities to ensure 100% joint integrity at the laps. Wrimco protection board will wrap around so quickly and be so securely held in place for 100% effectiveness.
