Application
Vehicular
Deck Coating System
Vulkem
346 is recommended for use with Vulkem Deck Coating Systems or on concrete (new
or old). Follow Application Directions for Vulkem 350/345/346 when used in the
Vehicular Deck Coating System. Concrete Surfaces Concrete surfaces must be
clean and dry, free of any previous coatings. New concrete shall be water cured
for a minimum of 28 days. Installation can be made with airless spray, medium
nap roller or brush. When used as a paint coating on concrete intended for use
as a wearing surface, it is recommended that an aggregate (Approx. 30-40 mesh)
be incorporated into the coating to increase wear and abrasion resistance. A
successful application may be dependent on proper aggregate size and loading.
In all applications a test patch must be placed and the finish approved by the
owner prior to beginning the job.
Coverage
Concrete
Surfaces Coverage for use as a concrete paint/sealer is dependent on surface
porosity or concrete, number of coats used and aggregate texture chosen and may
range from 1.2 to 2.45 m2 per litre.
