DuroNon Slip - External foot trafficable deck coating, is a modified DuroAC membrane with added fine grade aggregate to provide a Non-Slip, textured surface for decks and other exposed areas. Suitable for light foot traffic.
Foot trafficable roof decks
Balconies and decks with or without tiling
Non-toxic, water clean up.
Fungal and algae resistant
2 hours @20
All surfaces shall be sound, clean, dry and free of release curing agents and other contaminants. Check adhesion by applying to a test area. Concrete to be at least 28 days old, dry and free of voids and other surface defects. Make sure painted surfaces are sound and remove any chalking by pressure spray or light detergent wash. Roof decks should be properly drained for long-term serviceability of DuroNon Slip. A 12mm fillet of neutral cure silicone sealant is to be applied at all surface junctions.
Concrete: Remove laitance or unsound concrete by water blast or mechanical means. Fill all porous or honeycombed concrete with appropriate and approved material.
Compressed Fibre cement sheets to be installed as per manufacturers specification and all joints to be sealed.
Movement cracks and cold joints to be cut out and filled with neutral cure silicone
sealant, then overlaid with DuroNon Slip reinforced with 140mm min.
Note: All sheet joints to have an expansion gap. Seal all surface joints and screw holes with neutral cure silicone sealant, and further seal joints and spread across a min. 20mm of the surface and overlay with tape and DuroNon Slip reinforced with 140mm (min.) wide bandage.
Prime surfaces with one or more coats of DuroWBE at a rate of 4-6 m2/ litre
(0.25-.017 litres/m2). Allow to dry 24 hours @ 25
C before overcoating with DuroNon Slip.
To the prepared surface, apply a first coat of DuroNon Slip by brush or roller at approximate rate of
1.0 litres/m2 per coat. Apply the second coat in the same direction to provide an even texture and finish. Check when dry and apply a further coat to give a total DFT of 1.2mm.
Do not apply above 30 C or below 10 C ambient temperature. Be sure coating is cured before contact with water. Wash equipment with water before dry. Do not fix tiles until fully cured, normally 1 - 4 days. Provide sufficient expansion and contraction control joints in overlaying tiling and topping. This is particularly important with FC sheet flooring.
Clean periodically to maintain surface and re-coat when necessary.
Use fresh water before material has set. Remove cured material with mineral turps.
