Photo showing "The Boat Shed" where the top balcony was waterproofed with Wrimco pure urethane Multithane because of the many studs set in the concrete that supported timber decking. The upturned timber hull of the boat was one of the more unusual features of the building

Photo showing Wrimco SBS membrane torch applied to a planter. After detailing the corners with 30 x 30mm fillets, the sheet was applied in 1m wide strips from top of one down, across and up to the other side
Photograph showing PACTIV PB4 dedicated protection board spot torched to the SBS waterproof membrane in a large planter by the roadside over the garage. Unlike PolyPropylene (PP) profile board which is almost as inert as Teflon, the PB4 is Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) foam which adheres brilliantly to the surface of the SBS made molten with a pass of the propane gas torch and hence is referred to as no nails PB4.
Photograph showing planter box on roof waterproofed with Wrimco SBS. the base is to be insulated with 75mm Wrimco XPS and the sides with PACTIV PB4 protection board followed by 30mm drainage cell and 1mm geotextile/filter fabric.

Photo showing aluminium Z-section 20 X 10 X 20 which has been sealed and mechanically fixed 100mm below the top of the blockwork. Wrimco PB4 protection board was first spot torched to the membrane and held in place by the Z-section to provide a high quality, low maintenance finish. The applicator is standing on the 50mm double washed river sand used to protect the 1mm PP filter fabric laid over the 30mm PP drainage cell at the base of the planter.
After rendering down onto the Z-section, the top of the render was waterproofed with Duromastic ACS prior to painting to prevent water bypassing the membrane system and to stop unsightly efflorescence (calcium carbonate formed by water reacting with lime from the render).
