Good Application/Drying conditions throughout the application are average temp. 20 to 25 C and max. 70% RH with no heavy dew or rain expected.
All surfaces must be free or cleaned of all dirt, dust, grease, oil, fuels, chemicals, other contaminants particles. Note: Further instructions for various surfaces follows:
Along with general cleaning above, apply high pressure water sufficiently to remove all loose and foreign matter and allow drying thoroughly.
Apply AVS PROTECTIT 600M by roller or brush or spray at approximately 7 m2 to 10 m2 per litre depending on porosity of asphalt. Allow min. 2 hrs in good drying conditions before application of Bostik SUREGRIP.
New concrete should cure for 28 days prior to coating. Along with GENERAL CLEANING above, remove concrete laitance with an acid-etch mixture of 1 part Hydrochloric Acid and 4 parts Water. Use plastic watering can to apply acid mixture, agitate the mixture on the concrete with a stiff broom before rinsing using high pressure water while the slurry is still wet. Acid mixture must not contact timber or metal surfaces. Allow to dry thoroughly. When acid-etching is not practical, use sufficient sanding, scabbling or grinding to remove surface contaminants, concrete laitance etc. Dust encapsulation equipment is recommended.
PRIMING CONCRETE (Not subject to hydrostatic moisture)
Apply Bostik Multiprime (refer separate Technical Data Sheet).Allow min. 4 hrs in good drying conditions before application of Bostik SUREGRIP. PRIMING CONCRETE (Subject to hydrostatic moisture) Apply Bostik Moisture Seal or MVP525 (refer separate Technical Data Sheet). Allow min. 24 hrs in good drying conditions before application of Bostik SUREGRIP.
Along with GENERAL CLEANING above, use a wire brush or similar to remove loose rust from aged steel.
Apply Bostik Rustlac Prime (refer separate Technical Data Sheet). Allow min. 8 hrs in good drying conditions before application of Bostik SUREGRIP.
All new hardwood installations should be allowed to weather for 12 weeks prior to coating. This period allows natural tannins to surface. In dry weather, rinse with water each 7 to 10 days. Prior to priming, all timber should be cleaned with WOODMAN’S Woodwash (refer separate Technical Data Sheet). Rinse with water and allow min. 24hrs in good drying conditions before priming. Where mould is evident, apply WOOD-MAN’S Mouldwash (refer separate Technical data Sheet). Allow min. 24hrs in good drying conditions before priming.
Apply WOOD-MAN'S Primeall (refer separate Technical Data Sheet). Allow min. 4 hrs in good drying conditions before application of Bostik SUREGRIP.
Add 3 Litres potable water to 10 Litres Bostik SUREGRIP and mix thoroughly (preferably with a slow speed power mixer) to a smooth even paste. APPLY EVENLY WITH Broom or brush Or Medium nap roller followed immediately by light finishing with a broom or brush. Or Rubber-blade squeegee at 45 degree. angle followed immediately by light finishing with a broom or brush. Finish second and any subsequent coat at right angle to the previous coat.
Allow min. 2 hrs drying time between coats in good drying conditions. During cold or humid weather, allow additional time between coats.
On completion, allow 24 hrs in good drying conditions before foot traffic or 3 days before vehicle traffic.
COVERAGE (after Priming)
After addition of the required water to the 10Lt supplied, each13Lt mixture covers 40 to 50 sq metres in one coat. Two coat are required and therefore, for estimating purposes, each 10Lt pack covers 20 to 25 sq metres in two coats.
Do not apply if temperature is below 12 C or is expected to fall below 12C within 4 hours. Do not apply on exterior surfaces if rain or dew is expected within 4 hours. Do not apply in direct sunlight when surface temperature exceeds 35 C.
Bostik SUREGRIP does not environments or where above information.

VEHICLE TRAFFIC AREAS
Bostik Dynacryl (refer separate Technical Data Sheet) can be applied over Bostik SUREGRIP at 10m2 - 12m2 per litre. One coat will enable easier cleaning.
Do not use Solvent based or scouring abrasive type cleaners. DIRT / FOOD / DRINK / WILDLIFE / GREASE / OIL wash off soiling as soon as possible. If soiling/contamination are a continuing problem, a monthly wash is recommended. Use a good quality detergent diluted with clean water to remove stubborn soiling. Rinse well. SHOES/TYRES etc rub marks from footwear or a car tyre is usually removed with a good quality detergent solution and brush. Rinse well. Some types of rubber marks may require weathering for a few months to enable easier cleaning.
Provided the coating is still in sound condition, thoroughly clean as above along with pressure water wash and allow drying prior to recoating. Priming is usually not required on aged Bostik SUREGRIP in sound condition.
