Specification as follows:
Waterproof roof using Wrimco SBS 3 mm thick Sopralene Flam 180 at the single selvedge, torch applied to the dry concrete, plywood or FC surface. Hot tool chamfer all edges to eliminate capillaries. Where there are internal drains in exposed roofs, degranulate using Wrimco Degranulator to provide a double selvedge.
Before applying, all lumps of cement to be removed and indentations of holes filled with Screedbond Styrene-Butadiene emulsion mortar, followed by a moisture barrier of Screedbond/cement slurry cross rolled when required - 20 litres and bag cement covers 100 sqm.
An extra layer of 250 mm Sopralene Flam 180 wide to be applied over expansion joints with flame resistant glass wool to act as a bond breaker. Detail angles and projections with Sopralene Flam 180 to provide two layers at all such critical points.
All vertical ends to be fastened mechanically or turned over and fixed. Trim exposed edges with Construction AP one-part urethane sealant or acrylic membrane if required. Side lap 50/75 mm. End lap 75/100 mm and burn in granules.
If additional insurance required for exposed roofs, apply Sopralene Flam Granules to a base layer of Sopralene Flam 180, i.e. a two layer system. If a smooth finish is required for adhering plastic grass, butt the two layers instead of the normal overlap.
