Corflute is a one-piece process extruded sheet consisting of two flat sheets connected by vertical ribs. Made from polypropylene co-polymer it has physical durability and chemical resistance properties that make it ideal for a wide range of uses.
It is available in a comprehensive selection of colours, ultra-violet ray stabilized, and in a variety of weights and thicknesses, but Wrimco only stocks the 3.0mm black for use in the building & construction industry as a protection board.
Corflute has excellent chemical resistance properties. There are however, two types of chemicals that should be avoided:
1. Solvents or stress cracking agents for PP such as chlorinated solvents and some hydrocarbons.
2. Strong acids or oxidising agents. Specific information is available on request.
UV Stabilised Corflute has an expected outdoor life of two or more years depending on colour, degree of sunlight exposure and general weather conditions. Non UV stabilised grade is strictly for interior applications.
Corflute will retain its integrity between -20 C to +85 C.
All grades of Corflute are suitable for food contact uses.
Corflute for the Environment!
Not just another plastic, Corflute can be recycled by Corex who now have developed a repurchase program to help protect our delicate environment.
A variety of polymer is also available to suit particular applications including PP Conductive, Fire Retardant, Anti Static, and Homo-polymers.
Standard sheet size is 183Ox1220mm. Other special sizes available on request. Maximum width up to 2700mm wide.
The polypropylene used for the manufacture of Corflute has the following properties
