TREMproof 260 Spray-Applied Waterproofing membrane is a polymer-enhanced, single component, fluid applied asphalt emulsion waterproofing membrane. It is designed for roller or spray application to concrete, masonry and other structural substrates, primarily in vertical installations. Tremproof 260 has been tested to AS4020 - 2005 Testing of Products in Contact with Drinking Water and is approved for use with potable water.

Do not apply to contaminated surfaces. Not to be used as an exposed or wearing
surface. Keep from freezing prior to being applied to the substrate. It is best to store TREMproof 260 off the floor at an ambient temperature above 10 C. Opened drums should be tightly sealed before storage. When applying material below 4.5 C, contact your local sales representative or Technical Services.
Surface to be coated must be clean, smooth, firm, free of dust, mud, loose mortar, wires, concrete form fins, metal projections or any other substances which might prevent placement and bonding of a continuous film. Take particular care to ensure that the footing/wall junction is clean, free of rock pockets or honeycomb concrete and there is no standing water. On poured concrete walls, remove wall ties on outside and inside of wall. Tie holes and other voids, honeycomb, rock pockets, etc. shall be patched with non-shrinking grout or other approved patching material. TREMproof 260 may be applied to green or damp concrete. However the product must not be applied over standing water, water film, ice, frost or snow. Inside and outside corners, cold joints, wall/footer joints and other changes in plane should be pretreated with 1.5mm wet film thickness of TREMproof 260, extending out a minimum of 75mm on either side of the detail area. The membrane should be allowed to set prior to the final coat.
Method of Application
For best results apply TREMproof 260 using a two- coat technique. Spray the first (tack) coat one direction and spray the second coverage coat perpendicular to the first coat to achieve required wet film thickness. This technique will help to optimise the coverage rate and ensure a uniform wet film thickness. TREMproof 260 cure time can be accelerated in a process known as co-spraying. Co-spraying involves the use of a specialised dual-head spray gun and other support equipment where an accelerant is sprayed in tandem with the TREMproof 260. Inspect the surface thoroughly for pinholes, blisters or other voids in the membrane. If any are detected, reapply until a monolithic coating at the specified minimum thickness is achieved. If the membrane has already completely cured, prepare the surface with a mineral spirit wipe to clean and soften the surface of the TREMproof 260 membrane. Reapply at the minimum specified thickness, extending out 150mm in all directions. A protection course over the TREMproof 260 membrane is required. Cover the membrane as soon as possible after installation. If it cannot be covered within 30 days after installation, apply temporary UV protection such as dark plastic sheets. The accelerant used in the co-spray process is water (98%) mixed with CaCl2 (2%). Accelerant is mixed at a 1 to 5 ratio (one part accelerant to 5 parts of TREMproof 260) at the spray gun. Prepare accelerant solution by mixing 77% CaCl2 flakes with water as follows: 1 kg of 77% CaCl2 flakes per 40 litres of water.
