SBS waterproofing membrane - a high performance torch
applied sheet membrane with elasticity, strength, flexibility and a long life
.
The membrane is composed of oxidized
bitumen modified with SBS rubber. The SBS increases the degree of elasticity by
over 1000%, allows flexibility to be present at temperatures below 30 C, and
heat load resistance exceeds temperatures of 90 C so unaffected by the hottest
conditions.
Its strength lies in its
reinforcement which is composed of non-woven polyester (NWP) or glass fleece.
This gives Wrimco SBS its superior mechanical resistance. In addition, it
stands up to normal pedestrian traffic.
Combining these two products has
enabled us to create waterproofing systems that adapt to the needs and conditions
of most waterproofing requirements.
Wrimco SBS waterproofing membrane is
used for virtually all external waterproofing applications.
How does the SBS waterproofing system work?
Because of the components' inherent properties, the
SBS waterproofing system distributes the stress acting upon a crack up to 30cm
on either side of its axis. Its superior resistance to fatigue, heat, cold and
warping means unprecedented longevity for the roof covering, even under extreme
weather conditions.
Easy, effective and all-inclusive systems
Heavy-duty and elastic, our membrane, Wrimco SBS has a
track record in Australia of over 30 years. The ceramic chips factory applied
granules provide the UV resistance of stone.
Superior Adhesion
Of particular importance is the membrane's use at
critical points such as against parapets, drains in particular, vents and
projections.
The utmost in waterproofing
With Wrimco SBS waterproofing
membranes, total waterproofing becomes a reality. The membrane has a complete
range of uses for existing buildings and new constructions: roofs, retaining
walls, roof gardens, planters, air tightness for walls, bridges and parking
decks, concrete slabs, reservoirs and tanks, tunnels, foundations.
